Nous attirons votre attention sur plusieurs informations et rendez-vous importants :

1) SALAH HAMOURI AU CONSEIL DE PARIS  ! (Vidéo)  
 
Nous avons interrompu lundi le conseil de Paris pour interpeller le maire, Bertrand Delanoë et les élus, afin de protester contre l'élection d'un soldat de l'armée d'occupation israélienne en tant que "citoyen d'honneur de la ville de Paris", et contre la participation de la mairie de Paris aux festivités du centenaire de Tel Aviv, tandis que le jeune Franco-Palestinien Salah Hamouri est toujours détenu en Israël en tant qu'otage, ainsi que 11 000 de ses camarades palestiniens. 2) PAS DE COLONIES ISRAELIENNES DANS LA REGION DE MONTPELLIER, MONSIEUR FRECHE !
 
Nous appelons à réagir contre l'implantation de la société israélienne AGREXO dans le port de Sète, avec l'aide du conseil régional Languedoc Roussillon, qui va investir 200 millions d'euros dans ce projet, cadeau à Israël payé par les contribuables français. Une "marche contre l'aparatheid en Palestine" partira de la mairie de Nîmes le mercredi 24 juin à 9h30. La marche rejoindra le lendemain la manifestation à Montpellier, qui partira du Conseil Régional à 18h, jeudi 25 juin.

3) LE BOYCOTT : CA MARCHE ! VEOLIA VOUDRAIT SE "DESINVESTIR"
 
La firme française Véolia qui avait pris des parts dans l'exploitation du tramway colonial, qui doit relier Jérusalem Ouest aux colonies de Cisjordanie, a annoncé son intention de se débarrasser de ses actions dans ce projet, à la suite de la campagne internationale de boycott, et des 7 milliards d'euros de contrats que celle-ci lui a fait perdre. C'est une victoire importante, même si Véolia n'est pas encore désengagée de ce projet illégal et raciste.
 
4) TOUS A VELO POUR LA PALESTINE LE DIMANCHE 21 JUIN 
 
Nous vous appelons à participer à l'ensemble des actions de boycott d'israël et de soutien à la Palestine, dans toutes les villes. Les initiatives sont très nombreuses un peu partout (voir notre site). Parmi les prochains RV :
 
- la balade à vélo aux couleurs de la Palestine qui partira le dimanche 21 juin, jour de la fête de la musique, à la même heure, c'est à dire à 15 H, de plusieurs villes de France, dont Paris, Lille, Lyon, Strasbourg... Haltes musicales et Dabke (danse folklorique palestinienne) au programme ! Pour vous inscrire et avoir plus de détails info@europalestine.com . Venez en famille ! Faites passer l'info !

5) LE PROCES DE LA SALE GUERRE D'AFGHANISTAN, JEUDI 25 JUIN A PARIS
 
CAPJPO-EuroPalestine vous convie à assister au procès de la guerre menée par les troupes françaises en Afghanistan, le jeudi 25 juin à 13 H 30 au PALAIS DE JUSTICE DE PARIS (17ème chambre correctionnelle). Une première ! Le gouvernement français, qui s'est refusé à mener un vrai débat démocratique sur la finalité de cette guerre, de l'envoi de plus de 3000 soldats français et des milliers de bombes larguées par les troupes de l'OTAN sur les civils afghans, intente un procès à notre association, qui a écrit tout le mal qu'elle pensait de cette invasion étrangère et de ses répercusiions désastreuses.
 
6) BRISER LE SIEGE DE GAZA
 
Le Mouvement International Pour Ouvrir la Frontière de Rafah continue sa campagne à la Porte de Rafah. Un groupe composé de militants interntionaux, appelle à les rejoindre, et aussi à faire pression sur nos gouvernements comme sur les autorités égyptiennes (plus d'infos sur le site de www.ism-france.org )

Here is some information on several important events:


1) SALAH HAMOURI protest before the Mayor and Council of Paris (Vidéo)  
 
 
8th June 2009.   Activists interrupt the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë and his Council, to protest at their election of Gilad Shalit, soldier of an occupation army, as a "citizen of honour of the city of Paris", while Salah Hamouri, a French-Palestinian young man has been held hostage in an Israeli jail for the past 4 years.  Video (3 minutes) : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x9jydk_salah-hamouri-in-the-paris-council_news. 
 

 
2) SAY NO TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE ISRAELI COMPANY AGREXCO IN SETE !
 
We call on you to react to the planned installation of the Israeli company AGREXCO in the port of Sète, aided by the Regional Council of Languedoc Roussillon which will invest 200 million euros in this project - a nice gift to Israel from the French taxpayers.   A "March against Apartheid in Palestine" will leave the town hall of Nîmes on Wednesday 24 June at 9:30 a.m.   The march will join the demonstration being held the next day in Montpellier, which will depart from the Conseil Régional at 6 p.m. on Thursday 25 June.
 
 
3)  THE BOYCOTT IS WORKING!  VEOLIA WANTS TO PULL OUT
 
The French company VEOLIA, a partner in the construction of the colonial tramway between West Jerusalem and colonies in the West Bank, has announced its intention to sell its shares in this venture, following the international boycott campaign and the loss by Véolia of contracts worth 7 billion euros.   This is an important victory, even if Véolia has not yet officially pulled out of this illegal and racist project. 
 
 
4)  ON YOUR BIKES FOR PALESTINE!  SUNDAY 21 JUNE
 
We hope you will join in the nation-wide actions to boycott Israel and support Palestine.  Numerous events are taking place all over France (see our site).  Amongst those coming up soon:
-  bicycle rides on the day of the Music Festival (Fête de la musique), all taking place on Sunday 21 June, all starting at 3 p.m., in several French cities including Paris, Lille, Lyon, Strasbourg....   Musical interludes and Palestinian dancing are on  the programme!   For more details write to:  info@europalestine.com    Come with your family!  Tell your friends!

5)  THE DIRTY WAR IN AFGHANISTAN - TRIAL ON THURSDAY 25 JUNE IN PARIS
 
You are invited to attend the trial about the war being waged by French troops in Afghanistan, Thursday 25 June at 1:30 p.m. at the PALAIS DE JUSTICE DE PARIS.  The French government, which refused to hold a truly democratic debate on this war, the despatch of 3,000 French soldiers and the thousands of bombs dropped by NATO troops on Afghan civilians,  is bringing a case against our association, which has written what it thinks of this foreign invasion and its catastrophic effects.
 
6)  BREAK THE SIEGE OF GAZA
 
The International Movement to Open the Rafah Border is continuing its campaign at the Rafah Gate.   An international group of activists calls upon us to join them and also to bring pressure to bear on our governments as well as on the Egyptian authorities (more info on www.ism-france.org )
